Colm has been practicing law at 29 Laurence Street, Drogheda since 1978. Dick Branigan started the firm in 1958 and Colm joined him in 1978. When Dick Branigan died in 1999, Colm became sole principal of Branigan Berkery.
Colm has over 40 years’ experience in dealing with Personal Injury law, and he has a wealth of experience in dealing with all types of litigation cases, particularly in the High Court and the Circuit Court. Colm has also considerable experience in Legal Separations, Divorce as well as Probate and Wills. Branigan Berkery is well known for its expertise in all areas, particularly of Personal Injury law and accident cases. The firm was a finalist in the 2014 Irish Law Awards under the Sole Principal Law Firm of the Year category in 2014, for which Colm Berkery was nominated. Colm is President of the Drogheda Solicitors’ Bar Association since 2013. He is a member of County Louth Golf Club, having been Honorary Secretary from 2005 to 2009.
Colm is also a member of Boyne Rugby Club, Drogheda Rotary Club, County Louth Bridge Club, St. Fechin’s G.F.C. and the Law Society of Ireland. Colm lives in Termonfeckin and he is married to Delia with 3 children.
Niamh graduated from UCC with a BCL degree in 1983 and having completed her apprenticeship was admitted to the Roll of Solicitors in 1987.
She has been working with Branigan Berkery, Solicitors since 1989 specialising in Conveyancing, Estate Planning and Administration of Estates.
